I was born in Lausanne, Switzerland and spent my childhood and part of adulthood around the lake shore in Biel/Bienne. I was raised by my mother who’s a fashion salesperson and my father who's an electrician. I came to Montreal when I was 22 to visit friends, and never left… After working for 2 years selling antique furniture and for 4 years educating children in daycares, I not only learned the English & French language, but I knew I wanted to make Canada my home.

The major influences my love of travel and my lifestyle and creativity and never been a “fashion follower” made me to create my own messenger bags and handbags.

With my experience as an interior decorator and my desire to find the right handbag for my lifestyle, I started designing in 2005….. After 3 years of experimenting, I finally created a handbag and messenger bag that was both practical and fashionable and of the highest quality. After selling special orders only over the past year, I now present my collection to you, the ATKO handbag line, each handmade by me, and now available to you.
